Who are You Aligned With?

Friends sitting together

Who are you aligned with? That’s an important question we should not ignore.

Because who we align with affects who we become. Ultimately it affects our destiny.

I continue to be surprised, sometimes shocked, at what I see taking place in the body of Christ not to mention in the world around us. People fiercely remaining aligned to a relationship or organization who are no longer aligned with God.

In praying about this odd season, I want to share with you several things the Lord has been speaking and showing me:

1. Betrayals. They are going to increase, not decrease. It will come from friends, neighbors, co-workers and even family, who in their deception, believe they are doing an important and even good thing. For some this will affect not just relationships, but your financial situation. Prepare your heart in advance to forgive and to move into greater trust with Him. Remember He sees ahead and makes provision as we keep our eyes on Him.

2. Lawsuits. These are being weaponized against the body of Christ and used to bring intimidation and theft. They will come out of the blue to create fear, steal finances and eat up time. Pray now to bind this spirit utilizing Ps. 31:18-20:

Lord, let the lying lips be speechless, which speak arrogantly against the righteous with pride and contempt. How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have performed for those who take refuge in You before the sons of mankind! You hide us in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of mankind. You keep us secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.

(NOTE: strife of tongues in the Hebrew means: contentions, divisions and lawsuits!)

3. Witchcraft. While some may argue this, witchcraft still exists and is used as a weapon against the saints now more than ever. Having lived in China and since our return, I’ve seen it in practice. It’s real. But greater is He that is within us. Christians need to know how to battle the spirits of manipulation, control, witchcraft (which are all combined) that are increasing. How do we pray? With our spiritual weapons: the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus.  Bind, cast down and return the curses from whence they came.

I saw something shocking about this recently in a dream. I share about it on .

4. Drought and famine. After such a wet spring, at least in my area, it seems doubtful that we could be headed for drought. It may be a drought spiritually, but I believe it also meant in the natural. I do not know the exact time frame, but I do know we need to prepare. I have heard “famine” for the last two years actually. It has been a warning to prepare. As one of my friends said, “Preparation is not just about storing up food. It is also about learning now how to pray and see the miraculous that He can multiply food!” The day is coming when that will be a necessity. If we aren’t ready, it will feel overwhelming. That is why He warns us in advance.

Remember between the promise and the Promise Land is the process.

I believe that is where many of us are right now. Almost daily I receive updates of friends, intercessors and leaders under spiritual attack. These attacks are so severe, that many have had to take their hands off everything else to address these relentless issues. That is what it is intended to do. Get us to focus on nothing else but the attack and to spend our time worrying and in fear.

Do you find yourself in that place? If so, please leave a comment if you need prayer.

If you are not in that place, will you take the time to pray for the many others who are and are feeling weary and overwhelmed?

I once heard someone say regarding tough “wilderness” seasons that you are either in one, just coming out of one, or about to enter one.

While that may be true, it should not alarm us, but remind us that while the wilderness can be hard and a time of isolation, it’s also a time of training and intimacy …if we choose to let it. It’s where we build the muscles to enter and remain in the Promise Land/palace.

Who are you aligned with?

Right now, it is time to re-adjust and tighten our armor. We need to align our hearts with Him, His Word and His leadership. If you have grown weary, get back up. This is not the time to faint or quit.

It is essential we spend time daily in prayer and the Word to hear His voice, so we are not swayed by other voices. Those who are not doing this will not be able to stand in the days ahead.

Shake off fear. Do not stand on the sidelines or put your head in the sand. Make the decision to take courage. That is the Hebrew word, “amets” which means to be: “stout, strong, bold, & alert.”

Is there a cost to stand for what is right? A price to pay in this battle? Yes.

But it will cost dearly to NOT engage in this battle. God is patient and long-suffering. He is giving us time to make our choice, but that time is coming to a close. What will you choose? Are you willing to pay the price?

Take courage for He is with us.

    1. I am so sorry for what you have had to walk through from both the physical and betrayals. But as you know, the trials we walk through build our spiritual muscles to enable us to battle the giants. You’ve been battling them. Lord, I pray for Karen for healing. I speak to her adrenal glands and speak restoration and healing. I pray that the overload they have had for so long will be reduced and that there will be rest on every side. I pray regarding her kidney for cleansing and healing that her body is strong, healthy and fortified. Lord, you said you would raise her up off her sick bed and restore her to health. I come into agreement with that word and ask that you would bless her and strengthen her and her daughter and protect them from the attacks that have been leveled against them. You said no weapon formed against them would prosper and every tongue that rises up against them in judgement would be shown to be in the wrong and stopped. Thank you Lord that Your Word does not return void. Amen

  2. You are really quite amazing Karen and I am proud to know you. God bless you and your family ♥️🙏🏻

  3. Great Article Karen!! I agree with your assessment of where we are as the Church. I responded to your article I got in the mail. But wanted to ask you if you have any ideas where might be a good place of employment now that I am done with my Masters of Law from Regent University. We did a lot of writing for this degree with emphasis of Human Rights in the rule of law. My preference would be to research and write regarding Christian moral ethics inside politics and what is the correct position to support or action to take as a conservative. At this point I would love to get more experience in writing. I like what the Heritage Foundation and Epoch Times is doing. But wouldn’t mind starting with a smaller company or non profit. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

I always look forward to reading your FB column or your articles that come my way. It is always good to see you writing for truth and justice!! I will keep you and family in my prayers.

    Respectfully,

    1. Hi Patty,

Congratulations on finishing your degree! That’s no small task. Getting your foot in the door as a writer can be tough initially. I recommend e-zines (electronic magazines) to start. They are usually a seven day a week publication that is in constant need of articles. They most often don’t pay, but it does allow you to build an audience and gain experience. We can chat this week. I have created a webinar that teaches people how to get started. You can find it at: https://prioritypr.org/trainings/ Scroll down to the bottom of the page. It is the one titled “The Easiest Way to Get Published and Build Your Platform at the Same Time.”

  4. Karen –
Yes – I have been walking through a very long season unlike anything I have ever walked through. Much of what you mentioned in your message – have come continually. But, I believe I am seeing and sensing a major turn for the better and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I am full of joy, excited for the future the Lord has for me, and pressing in to see His glorious outcome. The enemy truly is fighting his fiercest battles in an attempt to discourage and to divide and destroy. But, he is defeated and we are victorious in Christ Jesus! And Satan will find that he has only succeeded in stirring up the Body of Christ to walk on in victory with Satan under our feet!
Jesus loves 💕 you and so do I,
    💗Margo💗

  5. Karen:
Do you believe that a persons future and destiny in God can be blocked by being aligned to the wrong relationship. Even if it is your marriage partner….
What does one do if you are the only one seeking the Kingdom and spiritual growth ?
Without alignment i do not see a future. Yet God hates divorce…
Please pray me as I cannot continue to be double minded and seek to reconcile a marriage where the other partner is unwilling.
    Thank you for praying

    1. That’s a tough situation and a tough question. The Bible gives us this scripture, “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace. For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?”

I don’t know whether when you married you were unequally yoked, or if that happened after marriage. But in any event it is hard. Yet the Bible is clear that yes, God hates divorce. I am not a professional counselor, and I don’t know any other details. I do not encourage people to stay in a marriage if there is abuse. You don’t state that and so I would encourage you to continue to pray for her and continue to seek the Holy Spirit. Pray the Word, that she will have a heart of flesh instead of a heart of stone (Ez 36:26,) that she will escape out of the snare of the devil (2 Tim 2:26).

Keep your eyes and your heart on Him and continue to pray for her.
