Where have you experienced theft?
Get ready for a divine recovery…
According to the biblical calendar, we are in the month of Adar. It is considered to be the happiest, most joyful month of the Hebrew calendar.
This is primarily due to the fact that Purim falls in this month which is the holiday when the Jewish people were delivered from the evil Haman during the days of Esther. Their fasting and repentance brought about a move of God that not only brought deliverance but brought a transfer of leadership and wealth into their hands.
We need such a deliverance today.
My friend, received a word from the Lord that this will be a month of recovery that I wanted to share:
The month of Adar II (March 3-April 1) is a month of recovery.
“The Lord spoke to my heart that we are entering a month of recovery. What does that mean for those of us who are seeking God’s face during this turbulent time–not only in our nation but around the globe?
Although we often think of recovery and restoration as the same, they are not. For instance, in 1 Samuel 30, God did not restore what the enemy had stolen from David. Instead, David had to recover it.
So his first step was to pray.
So, David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? “And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all” (I Sam 30:8).
Inquiring of the Lord is extremely vital this month. Be careful not to make decisions without first consulting the Lord. Seek God for a plan.
What worked last year may not work this year. Seek the face of God, get your answer, and then move forward in faith.
“Verse 17-20 tells us the next step David took; Then David attacked them from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled. So, David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives.
And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil, or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all. Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”
God’s Word to David was to pursue.
“The word pursue means, “to run swiftly after to catch it.” This is where we see the difference between restoration and recovery. When God restores, it is something He does for us and we usually don’t have to take action.
But when recovery is involved there is a deliberate action on OUR part. In this case, David had to run after his enemy until he caught up with him and then take all his stuff back.
If David had not pursued, he would not have recovered. It is the same with us today. If we do not pursue what God is leading us to pursue, we will not recover what has been stolen.
Recovery demands an action.
We see this truth in the life of David in 1 Samuel 30 and we see it again in the New Testament.
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:18).
Before we see the sick recover, we must first lay hands on them. Action on our part is vital.
God is saying this month is a month of recovery. Therefore, He is saying, we have a part to play.
Have you experienced the enemy stealing from you in the past? Finances, health, family, kids, jobs, or even your peace? If so, it is time to recover. Remember, David recovered all. There was nothing lacking with him or his family. He plundered the enemy. He took the spoils.
We can too.”
