As I was praying I saw a quaint home surrounded and protected by a fence. In my spirit I heard the Lord say, “pray for the borders of your home.”
Not long ago I had a dream of a young man who was being beaten over the head with a bat. He was curled in a ball on the street with his hands and arms trying fruitlessly to protect his head. I woke up gasping and in tears. “Lord, is this something that has happened or is this something that can be changed?” I asked.
I knew immediately it was something that could be changed. It was a warning.
The more I prayed, the more I realized that this was about our young people. The battering of their head was actually the battering of their minds to destroy the thoughts of their upbringing and batter them with the ideas of the world until they were broken down. Their hands and arms were trying to protect their heads, but fruitlessly as the attack relentlessly worked to force new ideas to accept that which was contrary to the Word. It was a constant barrage so intense that they could not withstand the beating without a miracle.
So it is today as our young people are bombarded with the mantra to be “open,” and “tolerant,” of sin because to do otherwise is to “judge.” They have been beaten over the head with these words and images at school, in movies, in music and in books and many have turned against their parents instruction and upbringing. It has brought chaos into the home. The constant barrage of these constant words of “acceptance” and “tolerance” has been so unrelenting, that it has whittled down their resistance until it has exchanged the truth for a lie.
But I received the word that “it can be changed.” Pray for your borders.
It is imperative that we pray for the borders of our homes, our schools, our churches and our nation against this onslaught that has insidiously worked to rewire this young generation’s beliefs. Some parents and leaders, in fear of losing these young ones, have allowed their own beliefs to adapt to this barrage. It has allowed their borders to be broken down. We are to pray for the borders of our homes.
There have been many who have been standing and praying for breakthrough for your children and your children’s friends. Many have a burden to pray for the millennial generation, who have been taken captive by this deception. It has come through a spirit of pride that has taken up residence in their minds and hearts.
But it can be changed through concentrated prayer. Do not take your eyes off the promise for the authority is yours.
Here are 5 Prophetic Declarations to Secure Our Borders:
- I have a peaceful and secure home.
My home is peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. Isaiah 32:18
- My children are returning.
“Lift up your eyes round about and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, And your daughters will be carried in the arms. Then you will see and be radiant, And your heart will thrill and rejoice; Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, The wealth of the nations will come to you.” Isaiah 60:4-5
- They are blessed.
“Your offspring will be known among the nations, and your descendants among the people. All who see them will acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the LORD has blessed.” Isaiah 61:9
- They will know the truth and receive instruction.
“And those who err in mind will know the truth, And those who criticize will accept instruction.” Isaiah 29:24
- That shall sanctify the Lord’s name
“But when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, They will sanctify My name; Indeed, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob. And will stand in awe of the God of Israel.” Isaiah 29:23
Do not be weary in your stand. This is your seat of authority to walk in and call forth those given to your care. Pray for their minds. Pray for their hearts. Pray off pride and deception that would cause them to err in mind and that they would know the truth that will set them free.
Karen, thank you for this. My husband and I just returned from a visit with our adult children and have these very concerns that we prayed about last night upon our return. Your post has some very practical steps to guide us in our prayer (along with the scriptures to declare).
Our Lord is so good…He has spoken to you directly..and..your words are prophetic…thank you..karen
Thank you for your encouraging words!
