Are you in a battle that just seems to never end?
It just might be time for a street fight. Did you know the Holy Spirit is a street fighter?
David’s heartfelt prayer when he felt he couldn’t go on. When he had been Betrayed. Maligned. Laughed at by his family and on top of that the king was intent on killing him…(And we think we have problems, right?) he prayed,
Contend, Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. Psalm 35:1
The word contend in that verse is powerful and has a double meaning. It means that the He will fight on our behalf. Whether that is in a courtroom as a lawyer would battle with words and the legal system.
Or it might be time for a street fight!
At which case He will get out there and battle on your behalf. Just as He stood between the woman thrown out onto the street that had been caught in the act of her sin. He didn’t condemn her. Instead He showed grace and contended for her.
He stood between her and her accusers. And in the end, they all walked away completely defeated.

Whether you need the Lord to stand up for you today as your lawyer or as a street fighter, know that He will battle on your behalf.
