The Corona Virus (CV-19) pandemic has taken hold of the world not only through physical outbreaks, but also the virus of fear. But is there more behind this pandemic? I believe there is and the cure must be both medical and spiritual.
There are certainly layers to what is actually truth behind its origination, spread and eradication.
Is there more behind the pandemic?
I believe at the root there is a spiritual component behind this virus as well as the natural component—and so there must be a spiritual resolution along with the medical resolution.

Numbers 16 & 17 reveal the rebellion of the Israelites against their leaders Moses and Aaron. Leaders from the priesthood, who wanted to become the leaders, tried to take over and stir up anger and rebellion against Moses.
It tells us they, “Took action, and rose up before Moses, together with some of the sons of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, chosen in the assembly, men of renown” (Num 16:2).
These were men who were respected and of renown. Because of that the people listened to them and trusted them.
The problem was they were in pride which blinded them to the fact that Moses was indeed hearing from God and following after God. Their goal was to takeover leadership because they thought they were wiser.
As they assembled together against Moses and Aaron, they said to them, “You have gone far enough, for all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is in their midst; so why do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?” (Num 16:3).
All the congregation are holy. That’s quite a statement. It also reveals the root issue. It was pride and the lack of humility before the Lord. And pride always births deception.
Rebellion against a leader in government is nothing new. History is rife with examples.
But rebellion against what God orchestrates is completely different. Results prove that out and we see things happen which have no explanation other than God’s involvement.
Now hear me, I’m not saying the Corona Virus outbreak is God’s judgement.
However, I am saying this is more than a typical virus spreading.
Let’s put this story into modern times. Perhaps are we living in a mirror image of that day?
(Numbers 16)
Now Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Democratic leadership rose up before President Trump, leaders chosen in the assembly, men and women of renown. (vs 2)
They assembled together against President Trump and Vice President Pence and said, “You have gone far enough! For the illegals are good people, every one of them and may God bless America! So why do you exalt yourselves?” (vs 3)
Is it not enough that these leaders have been separated from the rest of American’s to do the service of the government and to stand before Americans to serve them? (vs 9)
Then President Trump and Vice President Pence sent a summons for Pelosi and Schumer to negotiate, but they said, “We will not come up. Is it not enough that you have not made America great again and our land and economy are not thriving?” (vs 12-13)
Then President Trump became angry and said to the Lord, “Do not regard them, I have not taken a single paycheck from them, nor have I done them harm.” (vs 15)
We know according to the story in Numbers 16 that Korah and all the leaders who stood in rebellion to remove Moses from leadership, were themselves removed in a supernatural way.
In spite of seeing God’s display of power, the people in rebellion against Moses (and ultimately God), those who had been incited to rage by Korah, rose up against Moses and grumbled. Hard as it is to believe, they blamed Moses for the death of the ungodly and prideful leaders who had been removed!
We are told in Num 16:42 that at that moment, as the rebellious crowd continued to complain, the glory of the Lord appeared. What it meant was God stepped in to deal with it Himself. In his anger toward the rebellious people, a plague was unleashed.
In America (and we could include other countries working to eradicate corruption, of which there are many) we see how a group of leaders have worked hard to remove President Trump as they work desperately to regain control. (Other presidents in other countries–Israel, Britain, Australia…are fighting this same fight.)
As a people and a nation, we need to heed this story from history and be mindful who we support. For there is a day of reckoning in which God will say, “Enough!”
The people of Israel, who supported Korah, were blinded by their offense which eventually turned to rage. They were convinced they were in the right. But it is evident by what took place, they were not.
In order to stop the plague, Aaron (representing the priesthood—or today I believe the intercessors) stepped in with incense and made atonement for the people.
“He took his stand between the dead and the living so that the plague was checked.”
The Lord used that incident to prove to the children of Israel who He had chosen to lead.
This is not an hour for us to fear, but to get our hearts right (humble ourselves before the Lord) and stand in prayer. It is not a time to find ourselves standing on the side of the rebellion, because God will intervene.
This plague will be checked. Our economy will recover.
We are actually on the verge of revival.

I believe this is a time for the Church to arise with answers so that healing physically and spiritually can sweep across our nation and for revival to sweep the hearts of the people rather than fear.
May we be willing to stand in the gap to see the plague stopped. And Lord have mercy on those who cannot see the danger of the rebellion.
