What is the prophetic battle before US? I use that word not only to mean us but to mean U.S..
As 2019 becomes 2020, most of us are reflecting on what took place last year as we pray into what the new year holds. As we do, it is essential that we recognize and align with what God is doing.
What took place last year is reflected in the word of the year chosen by Dictionary.com for 2019.
The word is existential.
They were spot on, even prophetic in their choice.
As with most words in the English language there is more than one definition. According to Dictionary.com, existential means:
(Adjective)
- of or relating to existence.
- concerned with the nature of human existence as determined by the individual’s freely made choices.
Merriam-Webster defines it as: having being in time and space.
It is a word that actually reveals and encapsulates the spiritual and political battle of this past year.
For example, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) declared there was an existential threat to human civilization in regards to climate change. She predicted the world would end in twelve years. She was right about the threat, but wrong about the cause. And in reality, we don’t have even twelve years to turn this.
The true existential threat we face is the threat to a free civilization as we know it.
We have watched as not only America, but Israel, Britain, Australia, Hong Kong, Russia, and other citizens have stood to battle for their country and freedom. It has been a battle against corruption and the attempted takeover to form a globalist society.
That is the true existential threat we face. THAT was the battle of 2019.

It has been and is a battle of worldwide proportions and significance. It is not just President Trump the globalists are working to overthrow. This same battle and coup attempt are underway in Britain, Israel, and other nations. We see it everywhere and we see righteous remnants standing up to prevent the success of the globalists.
The remnant of the intercessors are “[making] up a hedge and [standing] in the gap” (Ez 22:30 KJV) to engage in spiritual battle even as courageous leaders wage the physical and political battle. It has required this tandem effort—one in which we must not grow weary.
Go back to the word existential, to the second definition: “human existence as determined by the individual’s freely made choices.” What choice will you make for yourself, your family, and your sphere of influence as we head into 2020?

We are about to face the most tumultuous year yet in our nation and around the world as evidence of the far-reaching global corruption is finally revealed and charges brought forth. It is time to make sure that any cracks in our foundation are shored up so that we can withstand the storm that is coming.
We must continue to be the watchmen on the wall, to battle in prayer and in the spirit as we watch the inevitable chaos coming in the natural.
What will be the word for 2020? That remains to be seen. But I believe it will be the word “courage.”
Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you (Dt 31:6 MSG).
