The Blessing Withheld is Being Released

The blessing withheld is being released

The blessing withheld is being released!

There is a flood of blessing that is being poured out from what has been withheld.

This is a season in which blessings, inheritances, revenue, promotion, etc. which has been withheld regarding your past and present is being released to bring about the increase for your future.

The blessing withheld is being released!

The Lord has been speaking much about the times we are in. These are unprecedented times of transition, (which can feel like chaos as you walk through it), taking the land and a season of unbelievable blessing. And yet there is also a spirit in our land that seeks to withhold.

We see that regarding our president. We see it in the places where we walk. The spirit of pride and lawlessness that seeks to withhold honor, blessing, affirmation, position.

There are multitudes in this place. I saw the tears, frustration, rejection and anger that have threatened to overflow from the injustice, but it is where we move deeper into in His Presence.

As I prayed the Lord spoke to my heart,

“Nabal will be no more and Abigail is bringing the blessing.”

When we look at that passage in I Samuel 25 we find a wealthy land owner (Nabal) who is “surly and mean.” He has a beautiful wife (Abigail) and their lives intersect with David, who has yet to be crowned king, but is still on the run from Saul. David and his numerous company of men were camped nearby Nabal’s land where he grazed his sheep. It was the time of shearing and harvest, which represented a time of bounty and celebration.

It was the time of blessing. It is important that we recognize this season we are in.

“A certain man in Maon, who had property there at Carmel, was very wealthy. He had a thousand goats and three thousand sheep, which he was shearing in Carmel. His name was Nabal and his wife’s name was Abigail. She was an intelligent and beautiful woman, but her husband was surly and mean in his dealings—he was a Calebite” (I Samuel 25:2-3).

The name Nabal means foolish. What made Nabal foolish? It was pride and arrogance in himself and his wealth. And Nabal, in his arrogance, dishonored David’s men when they came to him. It was the season of blessing and a time of bounty. It was shearing time.

David recognized the season and sent his men to Nabal. They had been faithfully camping on Nabal’s land offering protection to his shepherds and sheep by their presence. His men asked Nabal during this time of celebration, “Please give your servants and your son David whatever you can find for them.” There was plenty. But yet Nabal replied,

“Who is this David? Who is this son of Jesse? Many servants are breaking away from their masters these days. Why should I take my bread and water, and the meat I have slaughtered for my shearers, and give it to men coming from who knows where?” (I Samuel 25:10)

Nabal’s own words brought about his destruction that followed because he withheld blessing.

Pride is a deceiver and prohibits us from seeing others, from seeing clearly, from offering value because we only see ourselves. That was Nabal. He withheld honor.

“A fool’s mouth lashes out with pride, but the lips of the wise protect them.” Proverbs 14:3

Every situation has two sides. The opportunity that God provides us. The opportunity God provides the other person/people in the relationship. For each person the opportunity is different because we each walk in a specific destiny.

And yet God in His amazing power works each of these encounters for an opportunity for blessing on both sides. I call it the “Pass/Fail.”

David had an opportunity to bless. Nabal had an opportunity to bless. David passed his test. Nabal failed. And failure holds consequences of varying degrees. Nabal sought to withheld David’s blessing, but in reality withheld his own.

The blessing withheld is being released!

This is a word to those who have sown in tears, for you will reap with joyful shouting. You who have served faithfully, who have acted with kindness, who have offered protection, assistance and blessing behind the scenes and should have received blessing, but it was withheld, your blessing is now on its way.

Kindness and blessing come from those in authority who recognize and value those God has entrusted and brought to their borders.

They understand the value of imparting and from their overflow. They release blessing.

But some have served Nabal’s, those who have refused to acknowledge those entrusted to them when they offered assistance and service. The “Nabal’s” have said in their hearts, “who are you that I should take notice?” because they could only see what they had achieved and their own importance.  But in so doing, they have set aside their own blessing.

Yet your blessing withheld will come.

Abigail is on the Way

God is releasing the blessing that has been withheld. He may do that by removing the one that withheld it from the situation. He may bypass them and use another avenue, or He may move you into a new place.

But God is well able to impart that which was withheld and should have been freely given. He can and will bypass those who had the opportunity to bless and will bring it through another path. He said, “Abigail has been released.”

For the blessing will come.

That is a blessing to you personally. It is a blessing to many who have companies and have provided acts of service. It is a blessing to our president.

Abigail (her name means one who brings joy) saw her husband’s foolishness and recognized that her entire household was now in danger because Nabal had withheld the blessing.

She responded immediately in wisdom and instructed the servants to load down the donkeys with the best of her provisions—a provision fit for a king.

She was in fact by this provision prophetically declaring what was to come as she honored David with honor befitting a king. She saw into the future. Her husband saw only his own kingdom and self.

Your blessing that was withheld has been released.

This is the word for this hour, “Abigail (joy) is coming and is loaded down with provision and even more than if it had come through the hand of Nabal.”

Do not allow the words spoken in pride which pierced your heart to steal your value, for they were not spoken from a spirit of truth. Your value comes from your identity in Him. No one can steal that, withhold that or remove it.

He sees your acts of service, protection and blessing to the Nabal in your life. You have faithfully served, even to your own hurt, but they withheld blessing. Bless them anyway. Your blessing is coming.

GOD is releasing the blessing. He can and will get it around them and get it to you through another path.

Do not fear and do not take to heart their words. There are those who have spoken out against you, who have tried to belittle you (which is a spirit of a pride in action which seeks to belittle and humiliate) to ignore you, and who have cursed you. But man cannot curse what God has blessed.

YOU ARE BLESSED and the BLESSING IS ON ITS WAY.

Here are the important steps in this hour and we see this from the life of David.

  1. Do not seek your own vindication. It will come from the Lord. If we take action on our own, we will hinder our own blessing. “Vengeance is mine, I will repay” (Deuteronomy 32:35).
  1. Do not allow anger to overtake you. It will open a door to sin and hinder the blessing. “An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins” (Proverbs 29:22).
  1. Do not throw away your confidence in a faithful God. “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded” (Hebrews 10:35).
  1. God is intent upon blessing you. “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Hebrews 6:10).

Whether the Nabal in your life saw or recognized you, your gift, your value, is irrelevant. Their refusal to release the blessing does not stop the blessing.

The blessing withheld is being released. God sees and is well able to get the blessing to you. Abigail is on her way.

The blessing is coming bypassing the withholder.

The only thing that can withhold the blessing He has intended for us, is ourselves! The blessing Nabal withheld, was actually an opportunity for his own blessing. His own words created his world and withheld his blessing.  It cost him greatly. David’s blessing was released in spite of Nabal.

“When Abigail went to Nabal, he was in the house holding a banquet like that of a king. He was in high spirits and very drunk. So she told him nothing at all until daybreak. Then in the morning, when Nabal was sober, his wife told him all these things, and his heart failed him and he became like a stone” (I Samuel 25:36-37).

We are not responsible for someone else’s response, only our own. They have their pass/fail. We have our own. Keep your heart clean before the Lord to receive the blessing He is releasing to you.

Stay free from anger and resentment, keep your eyes focused on the place where He has placed you and in that place is His blessing and provision to those who will remain faithful. This is our own pass/fail moment.

We choose to pass don’t we?

If this has ministered to you, please let me know. I am praying for you that His blessings are coming on you and overtaking you and that you will not miss your blessing in this season.

  3. Karen, Tears fill my eyes and faith rises in my heart from this post. 2008 was the last time I saw my 5 grandchildren who live in another state. Their dad, my son-in-law, decided my belief in Holy Spirit did not match his, so contact stopped. Phone conversations with my daughter have been sporatic since then, but have taken place. I have prayed diligently, believing for reconnection but keep hearing Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and you won’t need to lift a finger!” Thank you for this mighty word of encouragement.

    1. Kathryn, that is a hard place, but you already have your word on which to stand from Exodus 14:14. He watches over His word to perform it and His word doesn’t return void! Praying with you for breakthrough and a mighty turn around in this situation!

  5. The Word of the Lord is new everyday! Today as I opened each new area of prayer, this 5th day of April, 2021, the H.S. spoke to continue to stand, to walk and begin to run as directed! New faith was deposited, as I began to read each word the Lord had given you! As I pray for St Louis, I will pray for you too! I am finding that praying in the HS is becoming an even greater portion of my prayer time, it seems that many blessings and sign and even miracles are coming to pass. May every withheld blessing begin to be poured out on you, your family and the ministry the Lord has directed for you! I sense that just as a child stands under the funnel at the water park, so it will be with you, only you are under a God sized funnel and your blessings will pour continually! Relax, rejoice, rejuvenate yourself as the HS leads. I pray for you the Sarah principle, that you will be renewed strengthened in joy, and become more spiritually and physically beautiful as time goes by, and that your ministry to love others will increase to many that will be sent into your life!

(LoL: with your permission, we will pass on pregnancy in our golden years!) Have a blessed day. You certainly blessed my day.
