Perhaps you’ve noticed some unusual things happening recently in the music industry.
At 77 years old, Dolly Parton released a new album, entitled “RockStar” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.
It is an indicator of a return of honor.
Then Cher, also 77, has scored the biggest hit of her career with a No. 1 song on the Billboard Chart with “DJ Play a Christmas Song.”
Then, even more spectacularly, a song Brenda Lee recorded when she was just thirteen years old, hit No. 1 sixty-five years after it was released! “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” didn’t even hit the Top 10 when it was released, but now sits at No. 1. Brenda Lee is 78 years old.
What we see in the natural is simply a mirror of what is taking place in the spiritual.
If you are 65 years or older, pay attention as this is a word for you.
If you have felt overlooked, cast aside, or too old to matter, God is restoring honor to the elders and bringing them back into the spotlight.

For years America has worshipped youth to the point of almost disdain for anyone older than forty. But that has slowly changed as some who were the disdainers, are now creeping up in age.
Suddenly fifty, sixty and seventy doesn’t seem quite so old.
But it’s not just that. This is something spiritual happening that will usher in what God is doing to restore the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers as prophesied in Malachi 4:6.
The wisdom, experience, gifts and insight possessed by the older generation, which has been largely ignored, is coming back to a place of not only honor but will be celebrated and esteemed.
Ideas, projects, books, inventions, created years ago, which should have created breakthrough but became little more than a blip on the radar, will suddenly and supernaturally come back into the spotlight.
Where there has been little favor, there will be great favor.
Where you have felt no one was listening, there will be those who now ask for your advice.

We are watching a shift in seasons and prophetic alignment with God’s Word. Be ready. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual (I Cor 15:46 NIV).
